Edward I. Moses Walk Run for Life in Canton raises over $50,000 toward battling cancer
CANTON — The 45th annual Edward I. Moses Walk Run for Life held on April 30 raised over $50,000.
The event, which takes place on St. Lawrence University campus, had 105 participants and 44 sponsors.

2022 Grants Rewarded to North Country Causes

St. Lawrence County Cancer Fund honors Norma Jean and Gary Coloton
CANTON – Members of the St. Lawrence County Cancer Fund recently honored Norma Jean and Gary Colton for their 44 years of service.



Cancer Fund donates to Hospice
The St. Lawrence County Cancer Fund recently awarded $10,000 to Hospice of St. Lawrence Valley’s Advanced Illness Management Program. Funds will be used to provide specialized medical provider visits and services in the home of local cancer patients in the county.

SLCCF makes large donation to Gouverneur Hospital
The St. Lawrence County Cancer Fund (SLCCF) recently donated $6,000 to Gouverneur Hospital for the purchase of Cologuard Colorectal Cancer Screening kits for uninsured and underinsured patients. Money Donated for to Canton-Potsdam Hospital for Patient Transports
“The St. Lawrence County Cancer Fund (SLCCF) recently donated $10,000 to Canton-Potsdam Hospital’s Center for Cancer Care. The funds will be used toward the purchase of a new vehicle to transport patients to and from their appointments.”

SLCCF Gives $10,000 to “Ryan’s Wish Foundation”
“The St. Lawrence County Cancer Fund recently donated $10,000 to the Ryan’s Wish Foundation. The foundation provides assistance to families and individuals as they travel to cancer treatment appointments.”

SLCCF Donates to “Help Sami Kick Cancer Foundation”
The Help Sami Kick Cancer Foundation recently accepted a generous donation from the St. Lawrence County Cancer Fund. The funding will be used to assist families with a child with a cancer diagnosis.
