Edward I Moses Walk/Run raises $57,000!
The Help Sami Kick Cancer! event at Honey Dew Acres went off without a hitch... and $45,000 was raised!
Sixteen year-old Sami Curtis, long-time fundraiser and St. Lawrence Cancer Fund board member, recently had a malignant brain tumor removed. Sami's employer, Peggy McAdam of Honey Dew Acres, is hosting a fund raiser in her honor, with proceeds going to the St. Lawrence County Cancer Fund. Sami herself has raised tens of thousands of dollars for this cause, and was the top fundraiser of this year's Edward I. Moses Walk/Run for Life.
The Fobare's Fruits 5k is a non-competitive fun walk/run to raise money for the fight against cancer in St. Lawrence County. Be sure to bring the whole family along for a fun filled day at the orchard! There will be many family friendly activities including u-pick apples ...
thanks to the SLCCF
As money continues to pour in, the total raised from the event now approaches $60,000! Thank you all!
