The 27th Annual Edward I. Moses Walk/Run for Life was held April 24, 2005

April 24th saw another record year for the Edward I. Moses Walk/Run for Life with over $71,000 raised in the battle to deal with cancer in St. Lawrence County. Weather issues and school vacation schedules did not deter the 300 plus participants from finding the time to collect sponsorships for their efforts.

Robert Porter was awarded the Douglas C. Hartson Sr. recognition for raising $7315; Charles Saidel won the Roscoe Stowell Jr. Top student fundraiser award($4555),Charles Saidel, Ed Mackey, and Sylvia Bell were recognized with the Terri Curtis award for having raised over $10,000 in their years of
participation; Nancy Lashbrooks won the Shirley Kirk award as the top Kinney employee fund raiser bringing in $1610; Kinney store # 10 won the Taylor Cup for the highest amount raised by store employees; Team Ryan won the Richard E. Winter award as the top group; and Gouverneur Central School students won
the Ryan B. Saidel award as the top school group raising $16,400. Sincere appreciation is extended to all participants, groups, school teams, the organizing committee, the extra help on event day, the many sponsors, friends, the media for getting the word out, the hundreds of
donors, and other supporters of the event.
